The story of how Brian Evans met Frank Sinatra is an interesting one.
At the time, Brian was acting on such shows as "Full House," and "Beverly Hills, 90210." Offered the opportunity to attend a benefit, which in 1993 cost $350 a ticket, Brian took the plunge and laid down the cash in the hopes of meeting the man who helped create Brian's own path. Frank Sinatra.
Brian met Sinatra at a benefit for The Barbara Sinatra Foundation (Frank's wife). Knowing who she would likely be attending with, Brian bought the ticket, and was seated next to comedian Tom Dreesen, who was Frank's opening act. After telling Tom his story, Tom plunked Brian behind Sinatra and took this photo, which Frank later signed while performing at The Desert Inn.
In 1999, about a year after Mr. Sinatra's passing, Brian debuted at The Desert Inn in Las Vegas. Brian recorded a live CD entitled "Brian Evans - Live at The Desert Inn," which was later to be discovered was the only live CD ever recorded "Live at The Desert Inn" in the history of the venue. This accomplishment resulted in Brian being awarded a proclamation by then-Governor Kenny Guinn, Mayor Oscar Goodman, and U.S. Senator John Ensign.
